Avery High School Lady Vikings have advanced to the Regional of the state basketball championships. The Ladies will play Bishop McGuinness High School, the start time will be 8:30 pm on Friday March 3, 2010 @ University of North Carolina Greensboro-Fleming Gymnasium. Saturday's Championship game will start at 4:00 pm.The following are driving directions, courtesy the Avery High School Department of Athletics.

Parking is $5, in the Walker Avenure Parking Deck for the NCHSAA Western Regional Championships.
Take US-421 South. Merge onto I-40 East. Take the Wendover Avenue East Exit. Follow Wendover to the exit for Market Street (3.5 miles). Turn right on Market Street and follow for less than 1 mile. Turn right on Aycock Street South. At second stoplight, turn left on Spring Garden Street. Turn left on Stirling Street, and the Walker Avenue Parking Deck will be on your left at the corner of Stirling and Theta Streets. Fleming Gymnasium will be across the street.
