Avery's baseball games at home scheduled for this afternoon against Polk County has been postponed for Friday afternoon due to rain. No makeup date has been scheduled.
Avery will be hosting Cloudland on Saturday, April 23, beginning at 1:30 p.m. and holding a fundraiser entitled "Beat Cancer with a Bat."

Avery Sports Web Transition, Upcoming Schedule
BLOG UPDATE:
If you are a regular to the site, you might have noticed an infrequency of updating the Blog the past couple weeks. Much of reason for this is due to the establishment of the NEW Avery Journal-Times website. The site now carries reprints of the sports stories appearing in The AJT from week to week.
The Journal website is located at www.averyjournal.com and by clicking on the "sports" tab you can catch up on all the local sports.
Our intention is to continue to use the Sports Blog for breaking information, cancellations, Live Blogs and Twitter Updates, as well as trying to post the occasional sports story.
