The Avery Vikings will square off with the Mountain Heritage Cougars in baseball and softball action this afternoon in Newland. With the conference season winding down, every game matters, so the teams will battle tooth and nail for victories.

Viking baseball begins around 4 p.m., with softball scheduled to begin around 4:30 pm.

Avery Baseball and Softball vs. Heritage Postponed

Avery's scheduled baseball and softball home games for this afternoon against Mountain Heritage have been postponed due to rain. The baseball game has been rescheduled to take place on Thursday, with no confirmed make-up date at this time for the softball game (hopefully Thursday also, according to Avery officials).

Avery's teams will also play at Mitchell Friday to close out regular season action.
