Editorial note: For the first time since November 2003, health issues will prevent me (Shelldog) from attending tonight's regularly scheduled high school football game between Avery and West Wilkes. Due to this, there is no radio tape-delayed broadcast tomorrow (Saturday). My deepest apologies to the faithful listeners in the greater Avery County area who tune in each week. With some healing and grace, I hope to be back on my feet and back on the air with broadcast colleague Coach Donnie Johnson for next week's "Battle for the Bucket" at Watauga.Our network of correspondents will be providing scoring and other updates throughout tonight's West Wilkes/Avery game during the course of the next few hours.
