We have a high school sports playoff doubleheader today at the Blog. We'll be providing updates throughout the day of Avery's third round baseball game at Murphy which was rained out on Friday. The action starts around 1 p.m.Later today at 7 p.m. at MacDonald Stadium, the Avery Lady Vikings soccer team will try to earn its first-ever berth in a state championship game when it hosts the Lake Norman Charter Knights. Both teams have 19 wins and pitched nothing but shutouts this postseason.
