The Avery Lady Vikings will travel to Raleigh this weekend to take on the Southwest Onslow Lady Stallions. The match is scheduled for Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Curtis and Jackie Dail Soccer Stadium at Paul Derr Track.A map of NC State's central campus that includes the location of the stadium can be found here.
Another couple of quick notes regarding this weekend:
1.) The bus transporting the team from Avery County to Raleigh will be coming through the town of Newland on Friday afternoon around 3:45 p.m. Fans, local businesses, and townspeople alike are encouraged to line the streets in town around 3:30 p.m. as a show of support to send the team off to the championship match.
2.) There will be a FAN BUS leaving Avery High School at 7:30 a.m. on Saturday to attend the soccer match at NC State. Anyone wishing to attend needs to sign up with Mr. Stacey Clark in Room 105 at Avery High School. There is a $5.00 charge to ride the bus, and folks will have to pay $8 at the stadium for admission to the match.
