We're LIVE from MacDonald Stadium at Avery High School as the #3 ranked Lady Vikings play host to a familiar foe in the *8 ranked Hendersonville Lady Bearcats. Avery reached the second round by defeating West Wilkes 3-0 in Wednesday's opening round, while Hendersonville won 6-0 on the road at Highlands the same evening.Today's matchup is the third one this season between the two Western Highlands Conference rivals. Avery won the first match in March, while the two teams played to a scoreless tie in Hendersonville in April.

UPDATE #4: AVERY GOAL! Off a corner kick, Smith fires a ball into the box, where Katelynn Eudy heads it in, shades of Wednesday night against West Wilkes. Avery puts the ball in the net at the 49th minute of play to stake the Big Red to a 2-0 lead.
UPDATE #5: At the midway point of the second half, Avery holds the two-goal advantage and has played much of the last 15 minutes on the offensive half of the field.
