The varsity basketball games in Rutherford County this evening between Avery and Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy are still scheduled.Both Avery teams were victorious in the squads' first meeting in Newland a couple of weeks ago. The victory was the first and only win of the season thus far for the varsity boys team, and the varsity girls enter tonight's game with a record of 6-4 overall, and 1-0 in Western Highlands Conference play.
Tonight's action is VARSITY GAMES only, so the start time has been moved up to 5 p.m. for the girls tipoff, with boys action following.
