AJ-T Sports LIVE FROM... Jack Groce Stadium (Avery Lady Vikings soccer)
UPDATE #7: It's a wrap here at Watauga as the Lady Pioneers hand Avery its first loss of the 2012 season. AHS drops to 2-1-1 on the season as WHS improves to an even 2-2 for the young season.

UPDATE #6: Watauga continues to tally the goals, as Katherine Welsh scores from around 20 yards out in the 57th minute, upping the WHS advantage to 5-0.
UPDATE #5: Baird adds her second goal off the evening off a steal, giving the Lady Pioneers a commanding 4-0 advantage.
UPDATE #4: Kendyl Baird scores off a well-placed assist from Skyler Hicks, staking the Lady Pioneers to a 3-0 lead in the 52nd minute of play.
UPDATE #3: An inadvertent handball in the penalty box gives the Lady Pioneers another penalty kick opportunity. Lillie Brady converts the kick, shootiing low left into the goal past the AHS keeper for a 2-0 Lady Pioneers advantage in the 48th minute of play.
UPDATE #2: Watauga leads the Lady Vikings 1-0 at intermission on a breezy, chilly evening at Jack Groce Stadium. The Lady Pioneers have had several shots on goal and were turned away on all but one opportunity. Avery meanwhile has had few good looks at the WHS goal thus far through 40 minutes. Second half to come!
UPDATE #1: A handball was called against Avery in the box in the 21st minute, and WHS's Lydia Mauney fired the penalty kick into the back of the net for the first goal of the match. Watauga leads Avery 1-0.
We're LIVE at Jack Groce Stadium in Boone for a non-conference soccer match between Avery High Lady Vikings and Watauga Lady Pioneers. Avery is 2-0-1 on the season, coming off a scoreless tie on Tuesday against Chase. Watauga is 1-2, coming off a 4-0 home loss earlier this week to AC Reynolds.
